😹 Meme Cat — Privacy Policy

Meme Cat ("the app", "we") is a casual multiplayer meme party game. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.

1. No account, no personal profile

You do not create an account with an email, name, or password. To let you join rooms across devices and sessions, the app signs you in anonymously via Firebase Authentication, which assigns a random device identifier. We do not know who you are, and we never ask for real-world identity.

2. What we process

Anonymous identifier (Firebase Authentication) — to keep you in your game room.
Gameplay data (Cloud Firestore) — the display name and cat avatar you choose, the rooms you join, the memes you pick, votes, reactions, and presence (so the game knows who is active). Rooms and their contents are automatically deleted a few hours after play.
Advertising — on the free tier, ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use a mobile advertising identifier and similar technologies. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Purchases — if you buy the optional Pro upgrade, purchase validation is handled by RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play. We receive only your purchase status, never card details.
Content reports — if you report a meme, we store the reported image link and your anonymous id so we can review and remove objectionable content.

3. Third-party content

Memes and GIFs are provided by third parties, primarily KLIPY and Imgflip, and are loaded directly from their services. Your use of that content is also subject to their terms. Meme Cat is "Powered by KLIPY".

4. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or browsing history.
We do not build an advertising profile beyond what AdMob provides for showing ads.

5. Your choices & deletion

You can delete your account and all local data at any time from Settings → Legal → Delete account & data. This removes your anonymous identity and clears your saved name, avatar, and preferences on the device. Abandoned room data expires automatically. On EEA/UK devices you will be asked for ad-consent before ads are shown.

6. Children

Meme Cat is intended for users aged 12 and over and is not directed at children under 13. User-submitted memes are searchable; we provide a report mechanism for objectionable content.
